A month ago, my husband and I joined a few others from our church, The Bridge, on a mission trip to Oneida, Kentucky. It was my first mission trip of any kind and I thoroughly enjoyed myself as I worked alongside others to upgrade the campus of a school which provides much for their community and beyond. We intend to go back next year to continue to support the school and the surrounding rural county.

Oneida Baptist Institute

From their website: Oneida Baptist is a Christian boarding and day school for students, Christian or non-Christian, in grades K-12 (boarding for grades 7-12). At Oneida Baptist, students will meet people from across the United States and around the world. They will also experience daily chores and responsibilities, interact with Christian adults, attend daily chapel services, receive individual attention in class and have a chance to join sports or other curricular activities.
