Brrr it’s chilly out here! It’s early December and we’re in for a big storm for the next 3 days or so. There’s a cold rain out now making it rather dreary. We’re forecast to have snow tonight, turning to freezing rain, which will make for slick and hazardous roads. I went grocery shopping yesterday, but forgot a few things. So I needed to go back today. New batteries for a flashlight, and firewood seemed like a good idea in case the electricity went out.

Several of my neighbors are older than I am so I figured I’d pick up anything they needed since I’d be out anyway, saving them a drive on these potentially dangerous roads. After making about 5 calls, I had one taker.

Mary Carol’s been sick this past week, unable to even go to work. The doctor told her it’d last a couple weeks, so even though she’s a bit better today, she’s in no shape to brave this weather. I made a note of what she needed and went on my way.

When I got home, she was very grateful. All because I picked up an extra box of cereal and a quart of milk while I was out. Though it was a simple gesture, it meant a lot to her. What opportunities have you had to bless someone recently? Share it with us here
