Hello, Friday Fiction Fans! I hope you have enjoyed the books, movies, and other fun articles our team shared during 2025. 2026 looks to be an even better year with two new contributors. But more about that in a moment. Let’s begin with my three thoughts:

Fond memories. I’ve read so many wonderful books and novels this past year. I enjoyed re-reading the Campion series by Margery Allingham during the summer and am working my way through Dorothy Sayers/ Lord Peter Wimsey mysteries. But my favorite new book that I read? It would have to be The Stranger in the Lifeboat by Mitch Albom. He writes the best speculative fiction, and this book was awesome. Positive Statistics. A lot of Favorite Friday Friends have been reading our posts, and that makes us ecstatic here at the blog. We had over 4000 visitors and around 5600 views. Woo hoo! Our top book reviews by each Crew Member were:

As you can see, your favorites were a wide variety of fantasy, sci-fi, children’s, and classics. I love our blog and all the fun, scary, and exciting reads we share.

Hope-filled Future. The future is bright for reading, books, novels, readers, and all it entails. No matter what you see about shortened attention spans and people consuming reels. Readers are gonna read! And in 2026, the Crew is welcoming two new members:

  1. Grace MacPherson. Grace is a Christian fantasy author who writes about sacrifice, redemption, and the triumph of good over evil. You can read her book reviews, free short stories, and musings on writing at authorgracemacpherson.com.
  2. J.R. Brady. J.R. loves writing, LOTR, grooming dogs, and organizing her home library. Check her out on Substack at https://jrbradywrites.substack.com/

2025 was great for Friday Fiction, and 2026 is full of hope for a great reading future!

Hope to see you there!
