The Fourth of July is always chaotic for me, the whole week. Not only is it my mom’s birthday, but the vegetable garden we plant yearly is ready to harvest. There’s corn on the cob to put in the freezer, bread and butter pickles to make, and beans and peas to pick.

Everyone comes over for Mom’s birthday, so there’s the house to straighten. Add three doctor/PT appointments for Mom this week, and you see why I am running around in circles.

But life is good. I’m counting my blessings amidst the clutter and listening to Christian music, and hope rushes into my weary soul and fills me again. God is so good.

What do you do when life is busier than you’d like? Or maybe you’re in a place where you are not busy at all. And miss the people being around. How do you cope? Please share, and if you’d like me to pray for you, add it in the comments.

Because no matter how busy I get, I can always find time to talk to God…

I think that’s the secret. Never too busy to seek.

To ponder.

To wonder.

To love on a God who loved us first.

Happy Fourth of July!
