I’m back from the Florida Christian Writers’ Conference near Orlando. The weather was awesome, and the trees were filled with Spanish moss, so different from back home. I met so many great people and received a dose of encouragement from like-minded writers I desperately needed. The main reason I attended was to find direction and focus after a very stressful season in my life.
And I feel on track once again. But I’m also exhausted. As an introvert, so much interaction with people drains the life out of me. And the delayed flight on the way home, where I missed my connection, didn’t help either.
But I’m home. Resting. Giving myself a few days before I get to work on my next project.
Today, I’m grateful. So very grateful for all God has done for me. And how He never gives up on me. Let’s focus on gratitude…
- “It is only with gratitude that life becomes rich.”— Dietrich Bonhoeffer
- “Gratitude is the sign of noble souls.”— Aesop
- “Happiness is itself a kind of gratitude.”— Anonymous
- “Keep your eyes open to your mercies. The man who forgets to be thankful has fallen asleep in life.”–Robert Louis Stevenson
- “When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light, for your life, for your strength. Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason to give thanks, the fault lies in yourself.”–Tecumseh
Today, I’m grateful. Can you share what you are feeling especially grateful for today? I’d love to hear…

Right now, I especially grateful for having the opportunity to teach a writing workshop to teens at a local library. And that I’m healthy enough to bike when I want to.
I love that you are teaching teens to write. 🙂
